Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Having a baby can be the most exciting experience of your life, and we are delighted to be part of this journey with you.

At Nurture Women’s Care, we are here to walk every step towards this milestone with you.

Our priority is to provide you and your baby with the highest level of care before and during pregnancy, labour, birth, and post-natally.

What is an Obstetrician?

Obstetricians are doctors who specialise in guiding people through pregnancy and childbirth. Their role is to give you the best care during your pregnancy and to ensure you have a safe delivery of a healthy baby (or sometimes babies)! They can provide you with expert advice on how to minimise risks through this exciting journey of your life.

Whether you’re a first-time mother or you have been through it all before, Dr Gloria Sham at Nurture Women’s Care is committed to providing proficient advice throughout your pregnancy.

Dr Gloria Sham is a Fellow of The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG). She is specialised in both general and high-risk Obstetrics including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Vaginal birth after previous caesarean section (VBAC);

  • Twins and other multiple pregnancies;

  • Pregnancy complicated with high blood pressure or diabetes.

Why do women choose private Obstetrics care?

There are many benefits for choosing a private Obstetrician, including:
  • Guaranteed access to an Obstetrician throughout your pregnancy and during delivery.

  • Continuity of care & support from your chosen trusted specialist.

  • Opportunity to receive ongoing care after birth for pregnancy and other woman related care.

  • Build a rapport with your obstetrician throughout the pregnancy, which helps reduce stress and worry for expectant parents.

  • More flexibility with the choice of your maternity hospital and the length of stay post-delivery.
